Yes, I have decided to go to Convention next year and have already made my hotel reservations and my Late Night Stampers Pre-Convention activities so I will be in Salt Lake City for a whole week. I am so excited. I even got a roommate already, Kelly Mayou. She does blog finds and I have been featured several times. I am soooooo excited. My upline will be back from Convention in a couple of days and I will have all the swaps she did for me. I can't wait to post them for you.
In the meantime, please remember to leave comments and your email so you can be entered in my monthy blog candy give away. You have until the end of the month. This month I will be giving away Flower Lines and the small heart punch.
I got tired today of trying to get my craft room straight. I have been working on since last weekend and I needed to make some cards, not just MDS cards. I have sooooo much retired stuff so I used some to make cards that I can sell at our annual craft fair in October.
Still working on my craft storage and room so I am still not making any handmade cards yet. But every day I will make a MDS card. I just have to make something. Here is today's card.
As you are well aware, I am still busy trying to put my craft stuff in order. I am finding that I am going to have to sell quite a lot since I bought double of things and don't have room to store it all. Here is my latest MDS since that is all I can do now. It is my version of my handmade Sandpiper card, which I like better, but in doing this card, I learned a lot about MDS.
I have been very busy the last couple of days getting my new Scrapbox organized. I didn't realize how much stuff I had and how many duplicates I have. I guess when I couldn't find something, I just ordered some more. But with the new organizational box, which I will show you pics of when it is done, was well worth the money because I will save that much by not buying duplicates. lol.......
Anyway, I did an MDS card tonight. Hope you enjoy it.
My DH and I just spent a wonderful weekend at the Peaks of Otter on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Here are three of the 70 odd pics we took. One is of the mountain we hiked up, one is of a deer who came right up to us and the other is the lodge were we stayed.
I have two MDS cards to show you today. Since I am trying to get all my stuff organized, it is hard to play with it so I went to the computer. Actually one was done in April for a demo friend of mine (Kim) as you can see by the card. That is one thing that is really nice about being able to do it on a computer.
The second one I did today just for fun trying out the new colors that MDS now has given us.
I have limited space in my home and right now I am working out of boxes and it is hard for me to find what I need. I ordered this a while ago and can't wait until I assemble it and start putting my Stampin Stuff in there.
Just click on the title and it will take you to the pic of what I got.
I made a few new cards today. They used the Punch Potpourri (I used at least on of them on all the cards). Great set. I also used Just Believe which I think will be my new flower stamp set I fall in love with. And I used Word Play which is also a great sentiment stamp set. My favorite is the Thank you card using vellum.
Last week I contacted Joyce Spear who is a follower and have not heard from her. If, by the time I get back from my small get-a-way this weekend, she has not contacted me, I will choose another follower. If you are not one now, you may want to be one. This is the second time I have chosen from the followers.
We are going on an extended weekend to the Peaks of Otter in the Blue Ridge Mountains this weekend. They have no phone, no cell service and no TV. It will be a nice quiet weekend for my DH and me. I am excited to be with nature again.
This was a design I did years ago and just found it. I used to do origami and this is one that I did and back then I didn't even know about Stampin' UP so I am afraid it uses origami paper for the design. But the rest is current SU.
Be sure to continue to leave comments for July's blog candy (surprise) and I may be gracious enough to choose another winner this month from my followers, so if you are not a follower, you may want to be come on.
I made this card late last night and as a result, I made a mistake. I covered it up the best I could but hopefully most would know that it belonged there. I used the new large scallop punch and the new Owl Punch and the new border punch and the old curly label punch. Everything was punched out.
Below is one of the cards my upline is taking with her to swap. She said she would be glad to swap some of my cards, so I am very busy right now working on them. When I scanned the card, a sliver of black paper was on the card. That should not be there. I will upload the other cards as I do them. I am trying to do 50 of these. Finished 30 so far.
This next card you have seen something like it before on my blog. I just changed it up a little using current paper and DSP and ink.
Oh and HINT....HINT.....HINT. I will be choosing another follower within the next couple of days, just because. If you are not a follower, then you ought to become one.
Jean Fitch was chosen randomly to win the "Elements of Style" stamp set. I do have an email for her so hopefully she will contact me soon. Be sure to continue to leave comments for July's blog candy (surprise) and I may be gracious enough to choose another winner this month from my followers, so if you are not a follower, you may want to be come on. Congrats to Jean.
Sorry I haven't unloaded any new cards lately but I have been busy making hundreds of cards for my upline to take to convention. I wish I could go, but just don't have the money to but one of these days I plan on going. The ones I am working on now are the motocycle one with the old map background. I will post the final one when I have finished them. They are a little different than the one I posted a while back.
I still have not heard form Stampgirl so tomorrow I will choose another winner for June.
I have not heard from Stampgirl aka Lisa yet (which is why I want you to leave a means of contact). If I do not hear from her by the 8th (giving her a week), I will choose someone else for the June winner.
Here is some of my new cards. I didn't scan it so it doesn't look as good. Sorry. I don't take very good pictures, which is why I love my scanner which I have had over 12 years and still works. More cards to come. Don't forget to leave comments w/contact info (read posts below) so you can win blog candy from me.
These cards all use the bird punch. I just love these. I will try to make time to actually scan these so you can see them more clearly.
From now on, if you leave a comment and not a way to contact you (email), I will choose someone else. It is very frustrating when you pick a winner and have to depend on that winner to contact you and I don't like waiting too long. So, from now on, please leave your contact info w/ your comments. Thanks,
Stampgirl aka Lisa has won my blog candy for June. Please contact me with you full name and address so I can send you your stamp. July 2nd I will chose the new catty winner. Be sure to leave your comments on the correct post.
