Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from me and my family. My daughter is coming home late Christmas eve with her boyfriend who no longer has any family so we have adopted him (as long as he stays with my daughter (lol)). I have been very sick with asthma and bronchitis. It is taking me forever to get over it. I hate getting sick around the holidays. I always had my daughter to help me but since she has gone to ODU and is in the Marching Band the Pep Band going to school, I don't see her much any more. I am also not getting along with my hubby so all pray for me. I can see why the holidays sometimes get depressing.
I want to thank all the military for all their support and wish they could be home with their loved ones. I appreciate all that you do.

Merry Christmas
and
Happy New Year.

Another Card from the flood

isn't this the cutest card. I love it.

My Christmas Card

This is the Chirstmas Card I am using for family and close friends this year. I stamped and created the card then scanned it and then used MDS to copy it and make the rest of the card then had them printed. I then added glitter to the trees and champaign ink for the snow so it glistens.

Christmas

I have been so behind in posting on this blog and Christmas is right around the corner. In the next week I will be posting all my Christmas cards, both made by me and from my friends. I hope you enjoy them.
I hope you are getting ready for Christmas that is stress free.

Sorry

Sorry everyone but I have been busy working on my scrapbook because the deadline for discount printing in at the end of this month and I want to be sure to get it done in time. I have to scan a lot and it is taking me some time. Next time I post, I will have a contest. You will have to pick out all the MDS cards and all the completely hand stamped cards. The one who comes up with the correct cards will win a prize. If there is more than one then there will be a drawing. The cards will be posted later this week so keep a look out.

ODU Marching Band

Here is my Daughter's Marching Band.

Scrapbook

I just love my new Digital Studio from SU. I have never liked scrapbooking because it would take me for ever. I bought a scrapbook and put items in it to scrapbook later for our cruise and it has yet to be done. The pictures on still on my computer. Well, last night I managed to do the 1st day and start on the 2nd. It was a 7 day cruise to 6 Islands. But now it seems feasible and so much easier. Here is a sample of 4 of the sheets I have done. It will be an 8 x 8 and I will have SU professionally print it when it is done. It will be a Christmas or Birthday present for Charlotte since we gave her the cruise for her Graduation present.

More Digital Cards

On these cards, I just printed the images and then cut colored and put them on my card as usual. The neat thing is that I don't have these two stamp sets so I can now make cards without buying the sets.

More Digital Cards

I was more excited and hadn't thought of it until the webinar that we could use the digital software as a sketch type of tool and then do the real thing on paper. This is a great idea. But I also think it is nice when we need a quick card. Yes, I wouldn't want to use all my ink in my printer just to print cards but in a hurry, just print one up, add a few accessories and you are good to go. The ones I did yesterday I did in a third of the time I would have done had I done them completely by hand. The other thing is, if you do need a stamped image smaller or larger than the original, this is a great way of getting it. I have three cards to show you. One is completely without any real accessories, except I may add them later but the image is smaller than the original stamp. We were shown this in the webinar last night. The second one, I just printed out the image then put it on real DSP and card stock w/ribbon. The difference is that I wouldn't be able to get the clear color of Make a wish if I had stamped it on top of the melon mambo ink. And the last one is an image I don't have. Also I liked the idea of making the punches smaller and larger to fit on top of each other. I also printed the images, then cut and assembled the card just as I would have if I had stamped. I did stamp the paw prints. The printing on the label would also not be able to be done if I were stamping it. So there are some pro's to maybe printing images. Also, if you run out of designer paper, you can always print a sheet for you to use on your project.

Wednesday's Cards

I got the Stampin' Up Digital Studio today and just had time to play a little with it. I am not much of a scrapbooker but I can see that I may become one with this program. It is really easy to use. If you are not a demo, you can get you copy from me at my SU store on October, 1'st. These are two cards where I just added a few accessories but the rest I printed on my printer.

Mary Peterson
Debbie Hurst
Mary Sue Bancroft
Diana Pope

Christmas Ornaments

I saw someone make a card like this using the sweet cups as a snow globe and then I started thinking, why not make it into an ornament. Thing how many different designs you can make. I used the circle cutter for the outside border. I think next time I would put a piece of cardboard in between to make the paper more durable and even. Enjoy!

Friday and Saturday's Cards

I am not going to talk about my cards since there will be so many, but if you want to know how to do a particular one, just email me. I am getting ready for our County Fair and I am trying to make as many cards as I can before then. I found last year that they sold like crazy.
