More Flood Cards were received today. The first one is an easter one from the Mini-Occasions catty from Kristin Reed. Thank you so much. It is really soft and pretty. The second is from one of my favorite stamp sets and is from Katy Gayken. I love how she used the shadow technique.

More April Showers

I love flood month. The first card is from Mary Peterson. I love the flowers with the button middles. The next card I just love. It is from Lori Mittlestadt and it is so hard to do man cards but this is just great. I don't know what DSP paper she used but it really added to the card. I will have to ask her. The next one is from Jeannette McGraw. I love the simplicity of this and you probably can't see it but she used yellow glitter in spots accenting the flower. I also love Groovy Guava. I hated when they took that away. The last card is from Sata Gustafson. I love the simplicity of this card also. DSP can add so much to a card. Thanks all for the wonderful cards. I will hate when this month ends.

Cards Received from Friends

The first card is from my good friend Kim she sent to me. The next is an easter chick made with the top note die and other punches from my upline Anne Garner and the last is from my DDSS Secret Sister.

My Cute Stamps

I am entering a contest to win a free set of stamps at My Cute Stamps. Her web site is: http://www.mycutestamps.com
My favorite stamp set she has now is Sweet Chocolate. In fact, I just had to buy it. And you can use Paypal which is really helpful to me. I mean how can you not like chocolate. There are so many great designs in this set and what I like about all her stamps is that they go well with the Stampin' Up DSP. Please check her sight out. She also has design suggestions. She is also listed on my useful link sights.

Card Made from Card Kit

The first two cards are from my new Secret Sister Card Kit Swap. She makes up two kits and sends them to me to make cards with. Sometimes these can be challenging because they are images or papers or combinations I would not normally use. I love the challenge. The last two are ones I made from kits that I sent to other people. Hope you like them.

More April Showers

I received three (3) cards from Mandy today for the April Flood. She had a two spotter but she sent an extra one thanking me for hosting the flood. She has become one of my best SU friends and one of the most generous ones I know and she does fantastic work.

Card Received from Friends

These are cards I received from some friends of mine. The cute green card with the pink flower in the middle was made for me by my last "Secret Little Sister" Mandy Sutton's little girl. I made some Miss Kitty Die cuts with my Big Shot for her and she loved them and sent me a card. I think it was so sweet of her. A real future SU Stamper. The Easter card is from a dear friend of mine Kim who I list on my blog as places to visit. The daisy card is from Mandy and her blog is also listed on my site.

Card Made from Card Kit

Here are some cards I have made from a round robin card kit swap I am in. This one was for spring cards.

New Cards I Made

Here are some new cards that I have made.

More April Showers

This card is from Denise. She used the Big Shot with the large scallop on chipboard . It makes the card look like a shadow box picture. I love it.

Technique Card

I had to do a technique for a swap and I chose Shaving Cream, one of my favorites. But I don't use glossy card stock, I use the confetti white instead. It dries faster and if you use silver or gold, you don't have to worry about it messing up. It dries almost instantly.

More April Showers

The first one is from Regina Gibson. I really haven't liked this set, but after seeing her card, it is just adorable. I will have to think about getting it.
The next two cards are from Laura Bargwell. I love her color combinations. Thanks... I love being flooded.

April Showers

It is my month for being "flooded" with cards from the Flood Swap. I am so excited and I already received two and it's not even April yet. I hosted this and I am hosting the next one that runs from April - November. We don't do December since that is such a busy month. My husband who is a Postmaster told me that the swaps that I am in and all the swaps everyone is in probably keeps the Post Office going since most people do everything over the internet now.
The last card is from Bonnie Block. Even though it is Christmas, I really like it and it will be filed with my other Christmas Cards. This is a set I never bought but liked. Thank you. The first two cards are from Lisa Wood. She thanked me for hosting and thanked on behalf of all the swappers. She send an extra card as a token of her appreciation. I have never seen this design for the small card and I love it. The regular card shown next "You quack me up" is really cute. I don't do cute cards and I don't know why because I love them. So thanks Lisa for giving me a cute card. Today 4/2, I received two more cards. Another cute card with the new Birthday Cupcake came from Lisa and the beautiful 5th Ave. card came from Jennifer This is so soft looking with the vellum. Thanks.

Thank You Card

I made this card to thank a girl on Stampin' Up for taking over the secret sister swap for me. This was the second time I hosted it and I was having a lot of problems and Dawn Kirby stepped up to the plate and took over. She emailed me the other day and asked me how I kept my sanity. She now knows what it takes to be a hostess, especially one that covers a couple of months. So I was thinking about her last night and decided to make her a cards. I used the pocket Silhouettes stamp set, the round tab punch, the corner rounder punch and the new eyelet border punch from Stampin' Up. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on velum. I used one of the clear buttons and put on Georgia Peach DSP paper. I of course put glitter diamonds on the flower.

Get something for free!

Here are the details and the "fine print":
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make.
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It will be done sometime this year (since I don't like to procrastinate, it will most likely be done this month)
4. You will have no clue what it's going to be.
5. The catch (you know that there is one of those). You must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first five people to comment and post the details and fine print on their blog will get a SURPRISE from ME!

Go ahead - why not play along - at the least you will get a wonderful surprise from me!
