Make and Take Cards from Friday

Here are 3 cards I made from a Make and Take I attended on Friday. Busy Day...

My daughter is down for a couple of days helping me clean out my craft stuff and get rid of the stuff I don't use. I won't throw anything away, but she will. Well she won't throw it away, she will try to sell it or keep it for herself. Now I don't know where anything is. I guess it will be after the weekend before things get in order, because tomorrow we are going to Kims for some Make and Takes and then go see "Angels and Demons" Saturday will be back to work until the All Star Race and then Sunday afternoon we go to my upline's for some maculine making cards and crafts. So it won't be like I am not making cards, just not at my house. lol.... I am sending my Stampin' Sister her May package tomorrow and my Secret Sister from the Shack will be getting her reveal package. So sorry for that one to end. As soon as I get my goodies and the cards I make this weekend, I will be sure to post. Have a good weekend.

Tutorials

If you look at the very bottom of my blog, you will see a tutorial on the flower pot cards. I think they are so cute. Dawn does a great job and if you like her tutorials, look on UTube for more or her blog which she lists at the end of her video. I have learned a lot from her.

Followers - Prizes

I am grateful that some of you are signing up to be followers but you are not leaving me your name or email so I can send you a little something. Please leave a comment with the info if you would like me to send you something. This is just one of five pages that I will send you. Jennifer

DDSS#14

I got my first card from my Splticoaststampers Demo Secret Sister swap I am in. I just love this group. I love how she uses a variety of DSP paper, and old stamp set that I love and flowers and stems from dies for the Big Shot. I love her distressed look on the heartfelt thanks sentiment. It is clean and distressed at the same time.

Happy Mother's Day

DSP Door

I just had to show you this picture that I saw on another blog where someone's daughter covered her door with SU DSP paper. I think I want to do that with some on my door to my craft room. I love it.

Face Lift

Sometime, hopefully this weekend, my blog will have a facelift. The first one to comment on it and can tell me what DSP it is patterned after will receive a gift from me. Please leave a comment with how to reach you. Enjoy!

I am also getting ready to send out my Birthday Card Kits out for my round robin swap. I am so excited about it. Just waiting for some address.

Followers - Prizes

Got my winner. It is Jodi. Now anyone else that signs up to be a follower will receive something from me (SU based) by email. It may be some instructions on making something, or background paper I have made or something. Just sign up as a follower, add a comment here w/your email address and we are good to go. My follower's page is on the right a little ways down.

Followers - Prizes

The next person to sign up to become a follower on my blog and gives me a comment with their email and name and address. I will send them a little something.

Mother's Day Background paper

Here is a sample of the paper. If you want a specific SU color, just let me know and I will make it for you and send you a pdf file.

Cards Made from Secret Sisters Card Kits

These cards came from my Group #2, therefore 2 cards. I just love my Secret Sister from this group because she tends to go overboard. She also sent me another roll of ribbon in addition to the kits which each make at least two cards each but she puts in more that two images in each. She is very thoughtful and I love the challenge of making the cards.

A Thank You

I am hosting another swap that began this month and it is huge. Everyone has to send out 6 cards each and some who signed up twice has to send out 12. But in return, when your month is picked you get 39 cards that month if you signed up for one spot and 38 if you signed up for two spots, but then you get two months. Anyway, one of the new flooders sent me a beautiful card thanking me for hosting the swap. Is was so sweet of her. Thanks Kathi Roberts.

I won a prize

I entered a challenge and won but I gave up the prize because I had what they were offering. I told them to pick someone else or give the prize to charity. I think they are going to pick someone else. I told them I would be an honorary winner. It was my punch art I entered and of course you all know that that is my favorite. But the host, who lives in England said she would send something on her own not SU. The prize was coming from a demo here in the states. So this is my second prize I have won entering a challenge. It is very satisfying.

Late April Showers

Better late than never. I received 3 cards today from April's Flood. Two were from Carrie and one from Niki. They both told me they were running late so it was OK. I loved all three of them. Niki's opens where the scallop is and it is really a cute idea. I love the simplicity of Carrie's cards.

New Background papers in SU colors

I just made some Happy Birthday Backgrounds using some SU colors. I will post one of them and the colors I have and if you want them or another color, just let me know and I will send it to you. They are in pdf format on letter size paper.

The colors I have are in Real Red (shown), Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette, and So Saffron. Enjoy.

Flyers of both are included. You can order online and they will automatically give you the 4th one free.

Nascar Weekend at RIR (Richmond International Raceway) VA

The first picture is of Kenny Wallace during a Q&A session and I got to ask him a question. The second is my driver Kasey Kahne watching qualifying before he qualified... but he did horrible or I should say the car did horrible in the race tonight. And the last picture is of my daughter Charlotte by Mark Martin's Nationwide Car. If you go to my Facebook page, I have all my pic's I took on there.

My Creations

Here is a card I made using the new set from the mini. I found the cool brads that match this set at Oriental Trading. Just had to order them after I saw them and had to make the card today when I got them.

Card made from FaceBook SS Card Kit Swap

Here is a card I made from my SS card kit. I used all the paper and elements she sent me. This is an all SU swap.

April Showers

Here is my latest card from Debbie Hendricks. i love it. She embosed the image with crystal embossing powder. It is beautiful

Nascar Weekend

This is Nascar weekend in Richmond for us so I will not be doing any craft stuff this weekend. Yesterday I took my daughter for the Nationwide race and my least favorite driver won. But Charlotte loved going into the pits seeing the cars and drivers up close and personal . We had a lot of fun and the weather turned out perfect. It was supposed to rain. Today it is really supposed to rain and my favorite driver Kasey Kahne is racing in this race. Lets pray that is clears up by race time. Last year both races were rained out and they ended up having both of them on Sunday. Not a fun day - overload on racing and I love racing. I will upload some pics when I can.

April Showers

Gosh, you gotta love flood swaps. I get so many good ideas from you guys. Here are the three I got today.
I love the cute bunny and layout of this card. It is adorable. It is from Miranda. The next is from Kathy and I love how she texturized her butterfly as well as the cardstock. It is simple yet stunning. And Joan, what can I say about your card.... I have this set but really didn't know what to do with it but I do now. I love, love how you have the tissue paper coming out of the bags like the real thing. It just makes the card. Thanks everyone. Can't wait until the next round. More people, more cards, more ideas. YEA!

Round Robin Card Kits

Here are two cards from the Summer Round Robin Card Kits I took out of the swap. One of the kits will make 8 of these cards and the other will make 6. I just love them.

April Showers

Here is a card I got today from Karen Thompson. I needed some grad cards so I am glad this came when it did. I really like her layout. Thanks Karen.

Flip Flop

This card is not stampin up at all but it is summer and I did it for a challenge.

April Showers

I received three wonderful flood cards today. The first one is adorable with the dear and it is from Trinity Noel. the second and third are made with my favorite flower although it comes from a tree - the dogwood. The second card is from Michael Crawford and her colors are very vibrant. The last card is so beautiful in person, I hope everyone can see it on the post. It also uses the monarch butterfly and it is so pretty how she did it. Cindy Gilbertson did that one. Thanks everyone. This round should be ending soon and the next one has already started.

Cards made for challenges

Here are several cards I have done for challenges on the Shack. These two cards had to have a butterfly on them for the challenge.
